We are a group of people investigating ways to get a free version of CLIM - the Common Lisp Interface Manager.
We have a mailing list free-clim @ cons.org. Send mail to mailto:free-clim-request@cons.org to be added or removed. An archive is at http://www2.cons.org/maillists/.
This mailing list is intended for discussing a free implementation of CLIM. General CLIM discussion is covered by the CLIM mailing list at clim @ bbn.com.
Our source distribution areas are at ftp://ftp2.cons.org/pub/languages/lisp/free-clim/ or http://www2.cons.org:8000/ftp-area/free-clim/.
As a code starting point, we have a version of Expresswindows adapted to recent versions of free Common Lisp implementations and CLX called "clinc".
The CLIM version 2 user guide can be found at http://www.harlequin.com/education/books/CLIM-2.0/.
A HTML version of the reference manual/specification (thanks to Mike McDonald) is at http://www2.cons.org:8000/clim-spec/. A tarfile of the HTML version is at http://www2.cons.org:8000/ftp-area/free-clim/clim-spec.tgz.
A Postscript version is at ftp://ftp.digitool.com/pub/mcl/contrib/clim/papers/
Other links to CLIM resources can be found at Rainer Joswig's "Lisp on the net" page at http://www.lavielle.com/~joswig/lisp.html.
